The responsible thing to do when taking on a challenge is to be sure you only take on what you think you can successfully manage. Now that I have taken on the task of writing and publishing a novel in six months, all of that is pretty much out the window. But there are some things I’m doing to make it a little easier on myself.
For this latest endeavour, I am dragging back an old project of mine that I wrote while unaware I was actually writing. My second most successful attempt at NaNoWriMo at little more than 14,000 words, and a story that has been growing with me more and more since then.
Essentially it is a completely inaccurate autobiography which features several things that never did or could happen, children never born to me and loves that never existed. It’s my ultimate what if story with a secret twist to be revealed as soon as I finish it. And I call it thus…
The Merry Windsors, a satirical look at life as I know it. To be hitting the desks of publishers February 2017, if I am so lucky.
